While Rugby has Brian O'Driscoll (BOD), Four Masters have their own version—Rory (ROD) O'Donnell. ROD embodies Ruthlessness, Organization, and Delegation at Tir Conaill Park. He's relentless in improving the club, organizing both on and off the field, and recruiting extra help to delegate tasks.
Never shy from the spotlight, he's become our very own Marty Morrissey, taking charge at live events and annual dinners. But unlike Marty, ROD prefers hard work over the "Marty Party."
Following in his father Frank's footsteps, ROD is deeply involved in all aspects of the club—managing teams, working with the academy, and contributing to the Bluestack Foundation and the executive level. His passion and dedication to Four Masters are evident in every spare moment he spends at Tir Conaill Park. Though his very patient wife Deidre may not see the same work rate at home, she supports him fully as their four boys play hurling and football.
ROD has also taken on the challenge of cycling from Creeslough to Tir Conaill Park, driven by his passion for fundraising and his love of Lycra. So, if you run into Rory, have your wallet ready—he’ll have a pen in hand, ready to sign you up as a sponsor.
